TAIEX has been asked to address a request for your assistance in distributing a call for applications for the position of EU High Level Adviser in Armenia. Please find enclosed the corresponding Terms of Reference, Code of Conduct, and the Guidelines for Application. We would be grateful if you could share these documents with the appropriate Services of your Administrations, so that potential candidates can be informed about this opportunity.
In addition, please also find attached the Privacy Statement regarding the HLA position, which should also be circulated to the appropriate services of your administration at the same time as the above-mentioned documents so that the potential candidates can be advised of how their personal data will be treated.
Applications consisting of a cover letter and a CV in EU format should then be centralised at your office. National Contact Points are kindly requested to duly assess each candidate’s credentials and confirm that their CV meets the specific criteria provided in the Terms of Reference. ONLY profiles meeting the minimum criteria indicated in the job description should be forwarded to the mailbox NEAR-EU-HIGH-LEVEL-ADVISERS@ec.europa.eu, by close of business Monday, 20 September 2023.
The Geographical Unit (NEAR C.2), together with the EU Delegation to Armenia will draw up a short list of applicants. The shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview, which are expected to be undertaken in the coming weeks following the deadline for applications, and will be conducted by an Evaluation Committee consisting of relevant EU staff (both HQ and EU Delegation). The CV and cover letter of the selected candidate will be shared with the national authorities.
Remuneration is paid monthly and is subject to negotiation with the service provider implementing the technical assistance project “Support to CEPA monitoring, implementation and communication” Technical Assistance project establishing the HLA in Armenia. The Adviser will be responsible for the payment of their own income tax and their own housing. Health insurance and 20 days paid annual leave per year are included in said remuneration. The HLA will benefit from diplomatic status in the Republic of Armenia during his/her assignment and will be required to stay on a permanent basis in Yerevan for the entire duration of the contract, save for leave days. No provisions are made for family members joining the HLA in place of performance.
